Mental Renewal

I've been working on a new business with some buddies of mine. We're proud to launch our new products now and I'm letting anyone who is still following this blog know about what we've been up to.

We have been developing some tools to help people accomplish their goals with a Christian basis. Our first few products are, Mental Renewal Audio Programs and Goalmind Transformation Software.

The Mental Renewal Programs target common self-limiting thoughts and beliefs, provide biblically based replacements for them and speeds up your desired behavior changes by tackling behaviors at their root - in your thoughts.

They are based on Romans 12:2

"Be transformed by the renewing of your mind"

Hence Mental Renewal

The first three programs are:
Self Image Excellence - Self Image Excellence steps beyond self-esteem to produce an unstoppable mindset. Let God's truth help you say good-bye to anxiety, depression, worry, doubt, sleeplessness, rage, jealousy, lust, envy and greed as you relax and rebuild a new yo.

Fitness Excellence - Fitness Excellence activates Biblical truth to rebuild your core thoughts, beliefs, and habits about fitness and exercise. Fitness Excellence instills you and your loved ones with God's word and the beliefs and behaviors that will blossom into a renewed body.

Eating Excellence -
Eating Excellence activates Biblical truth to develop habits that will lead you to eat in ways that honor God with your body. Eating Excellence counters false perceptions that lead to over eating and under eating. It provides you with the information you need to make wise, healthy eating choices.

Please check them out. For a limited time we have $10 off if you fill out the survey.

Year in Review

I haven't posted much in the previous year, so I thought I would do a wrapup to try and catch up a bit.

As many of you know, I got married to Ryanna Urban on May 26th. We had a wonderful honeymoon in Victoria, BC Canada and arrived back in Dallas to move into our apartment and begin our CARES program there. The last 7 months have been wonderful being married to such an amazing woman. Each day gets better and better.

In July we went up to Colorado to go to a friend's wedding. The groom was a roommate of mine when I was in Indonesia and the bride is the sister of Stephen, who I went on the long trip through Asia with.

Next I went to a training session at Sage software in Scottsdale, AZ for a week and Ryanna was able to join me for the last half of that trip.

In December we went up to Portland and Seattle for Stephen's wedding (yes, the same Stephen!) and to meet more of Ryanna's family since they are in that area. We had a great time.

The business is going well. We've got lots of consulting jobs going on right now that are keeping food on the table and we are working on putting out some products soon that I will fill you in on soon.

Our power went out at 11:55PM on December 31st so we had a new year celebration by candle light. We could see lots of different firework displays from our apartment which was good because it was really cold outside.

Now I'm enjoying following the presidential elections (finally I'm enjoying it! They started WAY too early). I have no idea who I am going to vote for yet but I'm enjoying the intrigue.
I'll be posting more now so stay tuned for more.

Took a bit longer than expected

So I planned on moving my blog a long time ago and did. But the new server wasn't great and I never got the posting working again. My life has gotten a little busy since then so I haven't bothered to fix it or post anything recently.

We've got a new server at work so I've moved my website over to the new server and set it up correctly this time. Hopefully I can start posting again.

Site Moved

I've moved my site to a new host. A huge thanks to the ICI guys for hosting my site for the last few years. I plan on updating it a bit to remove and add links and stuff that is no longer valid.

If you can read this then I have succeeded.

Sailing Away

I finally gave away my sailboat today. I've had it since around my sophomore year of high school which would be well over ten years ago now. I decided that it wasn't worth keeping around any more since I probably wouldn't be using it all that much for a long time. It was also in pretty rough shape. I posted it on Craigslist and within about 15 minutes I got 3 responses and then pulled the notice. The first guy decided not to get it and the second guy came and picked it up. He is in a family that likes to sail catamarans and was very happy to get it. I hope it works out for him. Either way, it is no longer my responsibility. Oh, my dad is also very happy that the space beside the house is now free. What does he plan on doing with it now? Why putting a new fishing boat there.

What's Next

Some of you may be wondering what's next. I could have hit the pavement and gone looking for a job or just done an Office Space. Instead a couple of guys from work and I are starting a company to do something very similar to what Professional Edge did. It is exciting yet a little nerve wracking to go out on your own and see if you can survive.

We are just starting to form plans but hopefully we can formulate a plan to make enough money to support our families and maybe even thrive a little. So far it is looking good and we should be off the ground in a couple weeks or so.

Right now, as a pet project I'm creating a home spun CRM solution that runs on ASP.NET. The idea came to help my future sister in law and her husband with their home business. It is morphing into something more than I thought it would be but that is probably a good thing. Hopefully it will turn out good. When I have a good working copy, I'll try and post a demo to the web. It will take a while though. It's pretty complicated.

New Post!

My appologies for not posting more often. I've been a little busy working and getting ready for the wedding. There is good news though! I will probably have more time to blog now. Professional Edge, the company that I have been working for is folding. That means I have lots of free time I wasn't expecting and not a lot of money that I was.

If you know of anyone who needs a highly motivated, honest and hard working employee, let me know.
